While we love travelling to the other side of the world for our photography fix, we’d be crazy not to take advantage of the great opportunities on our doorstep, and one of our favourite spots is the the wonderful London Wetlands Centre at Hammersmith.
We’ll be visiting the Centre on the Saturday 29th September and Sunday 30th September and would love to have you along! Winner of this year’s Nat Geo Traveller photographer of the year Renato Granieri will take us around the centre providing insights in to how he gets his award-winning shots, and tips and advice on how to improve your photography. The only cost is the entrance to the centre which is £14 including a donation to Gift Aid. So you’ll be getting the benefit of Renato’s experience completely free of charge!
The centre itself is home to many species of birds including kingfishers, sand martins and a variety of wading birds. Autumn is a great time to visit as the foliage starts to thin, providing an improved chance to see and photograph the wildlife. Aside from the birds there are likely to be dragon flies, lizards and toads, and if the weather is mild we should see bats feeding over the lake.
This wonderful chance to learn from Renato is limited to just two dates – Saturday 29th September and Sunday 30th September. All you’ll need is a your camera and a reasonably long lens (200mm plus is best). We aim to meet at 09.30 when the centre opens and will spend 2 – 3 hours wandering around and taking photos.
Numbers are limited so please let us know if you’d like to come along by entering your details below:
Please note: both dates are now full but we are operating a waitlist system.
