Follow the path of the ancient Silk Road through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan photographing beautiful Islamic architecture, stunning mountain scenery, and proud nomadic people.
Asia has almost everything to offer the photography traveller…
In many ways Asia is the best part of the world to head to for your photography trip. It is so diverse that the photographic possibilities are almost endless; dramatic landscapes, exotic animals, fascinating people, unique architecture… all abound in this incredible continent.
Central Asia is famed for the Silk Road along which Arab traders travelled with their caravans of exotic wares from China. They have more than left their mark and some of the Islamic architecture along the route is quite simply beautiful. Our Photography tour travelling through in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan follows the Silk Road and travels to some of the great cities that developed along its route. We also visit the nomadic people of the region and explore the stunning countryside, crossing deserts, plains and mountain passes.
The Indian Subcontinent is also a top photography destination. There are iconic buildings such as the Taj Mahal, remote regions with tribal people, monasteries and temples, and of course tigers and elephants.
A little further to the east lies the mysterious land of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). Closed to the world for decades, the country has only been readily accessible to travellers for the last few years. This means that it has retained many of the traditions from its past, and you’ll find Buddhist monks and tribal people in the remote monasteries and villages. Our Myanmar photography holiday explores the most famous sites such as Bagan and Lake Inle, but also heads in to the hills to meet the Chin people. The result is set of iconic and unique images capturing this fabulous country and its people.Share this
