Some of the planet's most pristine landscape and most impressive animals are to be found in the Arctic regions…
If majestic polar bears, surreal icy landscapes and incredible light gets your photographic juices flowing then a trip to the Arctic should be on your radar. The Norwegian island of Svalbard is easily reachable via Oslo and offers some once in a lifetime photographic opportunities. There are ice floes, glaciers and and sheer cliff faces. You’ll photograph polar bears, walruses, seals, whales and sea birds. The light can be incredible, especially in the winter when dusk lasts for hours – it’s less golden hour and more golden evening! Further afield, the Antarctic region offers the chance to photograph Penguins, seals and Antarctic seabirds, as well as stunning landscapes. The Norwegian mainland also has much to offer with the wonderfully photogenic northern lights, native Sami reindeer herders and the almost prehistoric musk oxen.
Wherever you choose to go, a photography tour to the polar regions provides opportunities for unique images and experiences.Share this
